Ours was built in 1950. It was designed along with a newer California style in mind. We have the beautiful built in the wall bookcases and hardwood floor that has seen better days! The heavy trim work and kickboards.
The people who built it went a little cheap on it, however, so DH and I are going to add the dormers and the stone work on the front porch. They also put all white trim and siding. We are going to paint it in the arts and crafts colors that the bungalows are famous for.
Congrats on your new home. I was always in love with this style of home.
