Ok all you Puget Sounders, get your sunscreen ready!! It will be near 70 on Saturday....an answer to my prayers! Now I need to figure out how to cram planting my garden and taking a long long long ride all into one day, as it is supposed to turn gray and yucky again on Sunday.
Kristen!

Yeah! We have a similar forecast for up here in Vancouver, BC! It's rare that they use that unambiguoussymbol in a forecast. I have a planned run but nothing's going to stop me from jumping on the bike afterwards!!
Have fun on the Daffodil Classic, Sue; I've done it a bunch of times, but will be riding more on the North end this weekend. My DS/DDiL live up on a hill outside of Orting though, so I alerted him to tons of cyclists on the area roads this Sunday.
All beautiful routes and I think that they do a great job with the support and rest stops too...enjoy!
looks like i'm riding around lake washington on Saturday. weather certainly makes it more (or less) fun, so i am looking forward to this one.
nice, Mimi...you'll certainly see lots of other riders out on that loop! L and I are going to do the Arlington - Stanwood route from the McClinchy Mile ride and meet some friends up that way after. It should be great no matter where we all ride this weekend - enjoy!
Oh Susan how fun! I don't know where I'm riding this weekend...whether it be mountain biking with the kids or road riding with the hubby, or maybe both! I may just go up to Bainbridge Island and ride around there. They world is my oyster!! lol Nothing beats the PNW when the sun's out!
Kristen!
Hey Mary I will have fun for sure! You’re right they do provide excellent support and the route is pretty too! I can’t wait. Hey you have fun riding the North end too! Enjoy that sunshine!
Kristen, mountain biking or road riding both sound good to me! A friend had emailed Joe and me asking if we wanted to do a mountain bike ride on Saturday but our daughter does not mountain bike (she’s strictly a roadie) and she wants to do a road ride with her mom and dad, what choice did I have? Hey if you ride Bainbridge you sure will get your workout in. Hilly! I love riding over there! You’re absolutely right nothing beats the PNW when the sun is out!
I won't get a ride in this weekend - I'm running the Whidbey Island 1/2 marathon on Sunday morning and need to save my legs (lots of hills!). But, the bike comes out next weekend. Wahoo!!! Time to switch from running to cycling. Already have a weekend of riding planned with some friends on the south end of Whidbey on the 19th and 20th. And, looking at the Rhodie Ride and Spring Classic Ride in May.

Good luck Dog and have fun! I believe Sunday's weather is supposed to be pretty nice too!
Today's weather is definitely going to be a gem! I couldn't sleep so I got up around 6:30 AM and started the coffee and turned on my laptop. Sitting here now in my kitchen looking out my window I see blue clear skies and the sun shining on my lawn and flowers. It's beautiful!
As soon as hubby and birthday girl (daughter) wake we will have breakfast and then get ready for today's ride. Joe worked on the bikes last night getting them ready. He changed his bike's and Jackie's bike's tires. Joe said that my bike's tires still seem okay. He then pumped them up then lubed the chains. The bikes are ready! I am ready! I think today will be the day to break out the shorts! Oh my goodness but my legs are WHITE! Argh! Jackie has been tanning so she looks fine. My hubby has hairy legs so you can't tell his legs are white! Me on the other hand!Well let's just say people wear your sun glasses today! Not so much for protection from the sun but from the glare of my white ugly winter legs! You've been warned!
Then tonight we are going out to dinner to celebrate Jackie's birthday. I hope my son, Jackie's brother, doesn't forget to call her! She told me not to remind him (sshhh but I did with an email this week). I tried calling him too on his cell and then on his phone in his dorm room but he hasn't been answering. I worry when he doesn't answer or return my calls! Sigh being a mom can be tough sometimes!
Well anyway have a great day everyone and ENJOY THIS GEM OF A DAY!!!!!
Anyone else doing the Daffodil Classic tommorrow?
Sue
Reporting gorgeous weather up her too!
I can't wait to go on a bike ride... but I will need to wait until 10:30, 'cause I have a group run first!!
Yeeha! Maybe we'll see you around the lake, Mimi--we're doing the north lake loop today. I see nothing but sun and blue sky out there!

Ooooooooh I want to put yesterday in a bottle! Rode up around the Sammamish plateau, and the lake.......... OMG it was nice!! This weeks commute is supposed to be back to poopy ~ although it does make the slugs happy
Oh, Mary, could you let me know more about the ride on the 19th? I didn't see anything posted about it here.

Hi Cyn,
It's the Mt Vernon - La Conner loop posted for this Sat, 4/19. It's a flat ride, about 32 miles, looping around Fir Island, with a stop in La Conner, hoping that the tulips will be blooming and some daffodil fields will still be full of color too.
I'm certainly hoping the weather turns around for it! I'll keep an eye on the weather and post more here, but if you're interested, PM me and I can share directions, more info with you, ok?
Mary
