It has SPF fabric. Haven't tried it myself, but it looks nice.

Anyone have any recommendations for a super light long sleeve jersey for my fiancee to wear in this summer? She's trying to not get any tan lines for our wedding so the only thing we can think of is a long sleeve jersey. I've see a bunch of different long sleeve jerseys but I don't know how they'll hold up in Southern California. I don't want her to melt in her jersey so the fabric has to be super light and breathable.
Thanks for your help!

Sweet, I just ordered her a white one!
Thanks!
I saw this one on the What's New link this weekend.

There were 3 Cannondale long-sleeves that claimed summer weight and had a teensy bit of style.
I have tanned through a jersey before.... even a SFP 30 one. A long day in the sun is a long day in the sun. She'll probably want to put on sunscreen under the jersey, or face bra-tan lines.
Cool, I'll have to check out that cannondale jersey. She'll love the design.
I wear a long-sleeved silk undershirt under my short sleeved jerseys. It's very comfortable and keeps the sun off. I think it even keeps me cooler. I especially do this on all-day rides and multi-day tours to keep from getting sunburned.

I have a Cannondale summer weight jersey; so far have worn it 3 times. Yesterday was warm and muggy in Georgia and it worked great. I felt cool throughout my ride. It actually has some style to it and great visibility on the road. I still put sunscreen under it. I like the idea about the white silk underwear underneath short sleeve jerseys. I have ordered and sent back both the bolero (too wide across the back for it) and the cool wings (arms too skinny) so I could keep wearing my short sleeve jerseys. I am not supposed to get any sun and like to ride, so have to be creative. I am currently looking for something I can wear in a triatholon on the bottom half that will cover my thighs. Does anyone have any ideas?

Liza: Thanks for the link to the capri lenght tri shorts!!! I am getting ready to order them.
Sorry I am getting in on this so late . . . I don't come here as often anymore. Anyway, check out this thread:

I've worn the REI SPF tops that I mentioned underneath regular short-sleeve jerseys. Also wear alone when I don't have a need for a back pocket. Works like a charm in both cases. My Boure jersey is still going strong as well.
I have not yet gotten the CW-X lightweight tights (I tried to order them, but they were out of stock). I'll have to try again . . .

However, I did get the heavier weight running tights for winter and they were great for both cycling (with chamois shorts underneath) and running.

I think it's already been mentioned, but remember you can still tan/burn through clothing (depending on weave and color). Here's some good info on that:

Michelem: Thanks!! You were so helpful with the jerseys last year. I have about worn out the REI one, will have to look for more for this year. It is so comfortable. I wear it running also. I agree about the sunscreen under clothes. I have been wearing capri length cycling shorts for two years and my sun allergy flares up on my thighs if I do not have sunscreen on underneath the capris. I mentioned earlier in this thread that the cannondale jersey has been great in warmer weather - is very comfortable and somwhat fitted in style.
