I ran 7 miles today and yes, it WAS beautiful outside
It was a good day. Last night I fell asleep reading Chi Running. DH came home (he worked until 1am or so) to find me asleep with the book and the lights still on. When I ran today, I tried to focus on proper form, relaxation, and listening to my body. It was one of the easiest runs I've ever done and my average wasn't that bad. I could have gone longer even.
I then had another stress test because my doctor was worried about PAC's. I got the pleasure of running on a treadmill without an exercise bra because they were also doing pre and post echocardiograms. The awesome thing was the cardiologist said I was completely healthy and the rhythm problems aren't a factor. So, yay! I didn't think it had been bothering me but I guess I was concerned...anyway he said I am cleared to do any and all athletic activities. I had never been NOT told to do them but they just wanted to make sure. It's nice to know I won't fall over from some undiagnosed heart ailment.
5.27 around the inlaws' neighborhood again. A definite contrast from yesterday - everyone was exhausted from the funeral and a big lunch, I kicked myself awake and snuck out for my run while the family was sleeping. Yesterday's morning run was sunny and warm; late afternoon today it was cloudy and cool. Felt pretty decent, but not as good as yesterday.

Ran 10 yesterday. The first four were pretty tough but I got into a groove and finished strong. Woke up early today to run 3 (was supposed to do these at my goal half-marathon pace) but felt pretty sluggish and only hit the right pace the last mile.
I ran today on the way home from the pool. Same plan as last Saturday. It seems to work well for me. I don't know if the pool gets me loosened up or what, but I had a 99% pain free run. Now that on the heels of a miserable run Thursday. So maybe I do better in the am, or post swim, who knows.
Now I just gotta make through my ride tomorrw....
Well, we had some nice weather for a good part of the afternoon today so I went for about a half-hour trail run. It was pretty soggy in places and I also stepped in the stream by accident while trying to run across stepping from rock to rock--I stepped onto a log that was slippery and slid right in! So I guess one could say I ran a-MUCK today(and it was fun!). However, I'm definitely not in my best running shape--I felt slow and had to take a few walking breaks which I don't particularly like having to do.

Did 5km this morning. 1 min walk, 9 min run. Felt good. Legs, shins, feet all good. I was slow though. 38 min.
