In NJ for the funeral, I got in a little run in my in-laws' neighborhood. After running on the beach all winter, even small hills sure felt different - but without the energy absorption of the sand, I went a lot faster than I anticipated, too, even though a mile or so was on grass.
Not too much traffic in mid-morning, but the roads can be pretty busy, so I was glad for the Xinglet I just got from REI - much brighter than it looks in this picture.

5.03 miles at a 9:40 pace.
Owie Horsemom. I've had those a couple of times when I was younger, and the worst part is they made me feel so SICK. Ugh. Heal up fast!
