Talking First Tri of the Season

I'm so pleased with my time and my placing!
I placed first overall, in 1:12, the supposed distances are 5k run, 25k bike, 500m swim, though I think the bike was a bit longer than that, but silly me I forgot to reset my computer before the race
A small race, but it looks good on my resume! Collegiate Nationals here I come!

Also, took 4 minutes off of my time at this race from last year

That's awesome Pinkychique! Congrats on not only placing first but taking four minutes off your time! How many more races do you have scheduled this season. What a great way to start out.

I don't want to start thread drift at all but I had to mention that I was born in Albuquerque and miss it so much. I bet the weather is incredible right now!

Thank you! My training has been going fairly well, so I was expecting at least some time to be taken off, didn't expect 4 minutes .

I'm planning on racing maybe 8 other races, with 3 of those being considered "A" races.

The weather is beautiful! I hope I don't ever have to live elsewhere, I like being able to ride outdoors during the winter months. I bet you don't miss the springtime wind, right?? We've been having days of 20+ mph winds with gusts of like 30+. No riding those days!
