I actually went to my family doctor last night. He wanted to give me antibiotics, but we talked about it and as long as I feel ok, we might as well wait for it to come to a head. I think he is so conditioned to people wanting drugs, that he was actually relieved when I said I didn't think I needed them.

He, and my husband (yikes! a DOG doctor) both agreed it is not ready to lance.

I ran 2.5 miles today in 19 minutes, but it was starting to hurt as my arm touched my side. I held my jog bra at the neck and held my arm tight to my side, but it still was getting sore. The boil is located at the very top of my arm pit when my hand is in the air.

Drawing salve is salve designed to soften the skin and draw things like slivers and abcesses out. This particular kind was black and smelled bad, but is ok for humans.

It did feel good to run, except of course for the searing pain in my arm pit!!!! Man, we are a strange group, us athletes.....
