    Great Ride Today!!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

We finally had some decent weather and my schedule allowed for a very nice ride today. Hubby and I went nearly 20 miles..which for me is HUGE!!

What a huge difference a new saddle can make! Thanks to Brenda for sending the saddle and shorts along because they worked out wonderfully! I conquered some hills, saw a coyote, nearly got hit by a car..a woman on a cell phone decided she didn't need to stop at the stop sign (hubby let her have it!), AND I had my first spill. Stupid me took my left foot out and forgot to clip out of the right and just fell dead over onto the road and into some blackberry bushes. I just kinda covered my face and giggled. My husband said what a graceful fall..

It was just a really nice ride and I couldn't wait to get home to tell all of you about it. Finally I'm starting to log a few miles....

All-right! So glad your new saddle is working out well!

At the risk of offending someone... I've heard those tip-overs called "F.U." For "Failure to Unclip."

    Hey Army,

Glad to hear you're out riding! I just wanted to let you know you don't need to clip out both feet. Just remember to lean towards the unclipped foot as you stop, and you won't fall. I always only unclip left (until I'm done riding). If I'm stopped at a stop sign, the right foot's still clipped in. That way I'm ready to start pedalling with my right foot ASAP.

    20 miles! You rock!
