Mimi - This is her when I brought her home. She now has a new (and lower) saddle and silver fenders. I've got a new seat post and an adapter to add a water bottle cage on the way. I'm working on picking out a rack or basket of some sort as well. She'll probably need new tires fairly soon, too. Oh, and reflecters and stuff....

Ultimately, I think I want a honey brooks saddle and cork grips (and silver break levers and bar ends and maybe albatross bars and...) but that'll be a little further down the road.

Great news! With such a concise commute, you could go home for lunch every day and double your mileage and save your lunch money for those albatross bars! Soooo much better than driving. I like your new bike alot.

On days when the weather is very bad, consider walking. 1 1/2 miles is only a ~30 min walk (depending on how brisk) and sometimes it is easier to stay comfortable walking.
