    You're welcome for the welcome! I'm actually in Canada: today it's 38F (-3C), and it's supposed to stay around that for the weekend. Don't worry about being too slow: the bigger clubs have graduated rides: beginner, intermediate, and advanced with corresponding speeds/distances. I'm always on the beginner rides so far .

    I know the feeling. I did my first club ride today! Spent most of the day quietly freaking out about it even though I've been riding a mtb all winter, but they were all nice to "the new girl" and I managed to keep up
