Hope your travels were safe and uneventfully easy...? We missed you at Knott's wonderful TE gathering, so have fun but come back soon, ok?

where did she go? I missed her too!
Hi, you guys!! I miss you too. Still in West Palm Beach, till next Sunday. Got the obligatory minor sunburn today, avoided stepping on Portuguese Men O'War, swam in ocean, yesterday saw ibis, green herons, pelicans, a trillion lizards, some of whom flapped their red-orange dewlaps at me till they realized I was not as cute as a girl lizard. A sobering thought...
Had grouper for dinner. Bought tickets to see Miami City Ballet's world premiere of Twyla Tharp/Elvis Costello work this coming Friday.
Party looked like lots of fun. Are both of you coming to the May 19 CC dinner?
Want to get together just for coffee sometime?

Hi Salsa!! I missed you too. Glad you're having a good time and getting some swimming in!!![]()

Another thing I did last night was learn how to row in a two person rowboat with sliding seats. Very fun. Hamstrings felt it this morning.
There's a lot of kite-surfing out here, and it looks like a blast. It's like windsurfing but you don't hold onto a frame--you're harnessed to a strong, way up there kite that you can control with your harness. those guys were really moving along! Fun.
Wouldn't want to live here, and am trying to talk Nanci into a visit up north (I'd visit but she's too far away from here)-but it's sure fun to be in someplace so completely different for a week. The colors, the smells, the horizons, all so different.

Is it true that they have mosquitos the size of humming birds in Florida?I'm sceptical. I think DH just told me that because there are people he doesn't want me to meet from his days of being stationed in Pensacola.
He could just use talk of chiggers to keep me out of the SE corner of the states, but then there's the draw of the Cuban food and the beaches.
Hi, Salsa, how are you and C doing? It sounds like a blast.![]()

Yeah, Cuban food and the beaches are worth a little skirmish with a few bird-size skeeters. but don't worry; they are starting to migrate up to Alaska for the summer tourist season feast.
Chris is here working, probably won't come back with me on the 6th but will have to stay till the 10th. That's why I came down, knowing he'd be gone for some weeks, and I did have a handy spring break week. So we'll have some fun amid the work, like maybe go to the Everglades for the day on Sat.; the very expensive but worth it ballet on Friday (Tharp is choreographer, Costello composer---not performing themselves), some marina art walk on Thursday.
Trying to find the pool sans "Marco Polo" long enough to swim some laps.

I do tell her that regularly. I miss her presence here too. Once I even copied a bunch of TE posts that all said such stuff (Where's Nanci? We miss her) and emailed it all to her. She still rides, although not as much as during her R-12 year, I expect.
I just told her again, per your request...
