I wear my jersey with the elastic around my waist at my smallest point. It may help that the jersey is actually a size bigger then it should be. I am also big chested and a huge fat roll but my worst area is covered by the shorts below my waist. Oh I wear mens jerseys not womens. I just can't bring myself to buy a plus size. I will never be small enough to wear a regular womens cut jersey.

Hey, I have an idea for you that came as I was dressing for a race. I wear a base layer of Under Armour heat gear under my jersey and tuck it into my shorts. That way the base layer shows and not your belly.

I ordered a Hincapie jersey on TE last week - it has the gripper strip around the bottom of it, I thought it might be weird, but it stays put, and its comfy.

I never heard of a griper strip before. The jerseys fit but I think like said here-just slide to the smallest part of my body.

It can be tough to find the right fit!
I have that challenge all of the time.

I need "tall" clothing. It's not easy to find "talls."
My torso and arms are longer than women's clothing is often designed for.
It's definitely a challenge! I'll let you know if I find any clothing source you might be interested in! (My seach continues!)

I really think that is my problem--Not all women are 5'6" or shorter.

Why not? A lot of women's jerseys are cut ridiculously small. I'm am NOT a large person and I frequently have to buy large jerseys. It's insane. There are tons of women who are larger than I and not overweight. What in the world are they supposed to do? Who cares about the size? No one can see the tag inside anyway. Buy what fits right and is attractive.

You didn't offend anyone! Some jersey brands run longer. Shebeest and Terry are shorter. Sugoi can be all over the place. Castelli and Hincapie can be very long.

I wear mens jerseys too - I just can't seem to "fit" the womens cut jerseys. I keep tugging at the jersey and I had 1 sleeveless princess seamed and it felt like the jersey was squashing everything up front to the middle!.....I couldn't Wait to take it off!!

You might look at Primal Wear - I wear the mens large in their jerseys and have yet to have Any of their jersey ride up. I own several L/S and 1 S/S and love all 3. *cigh* saving monies up to buy more!

The problems finding womens' jerseys is the same problem I encounter if I try any bike in the WSD model. Just cannot do it!

I feel fine with the fact that I am "taller;" I don't feel fine about the sometimes rather arduous search for clothing that fits!

I have often encountered other tall women (and I am not talking ultra tall) at various clothing stores. I can see the frustration. I sometimes ask the about it and also ask them where they have been able to purchase clothing that fits. A whopping 50% tell me they sew many of their own clothes! (I am definitely not one to sew my own clothing!)

It seems rather odd to me, that in the year 2006, "taller" women still have difficulties finding all types of clothing. (We were allowed to vote over 80 years ago! lol!)

Will continue my search! Will share anything I find!
