I use the little bud that fits inside the ear. Yeah sometimes the wind is too loud with those. Aside from the mongo huge padded earphones though, I don't really know what would work to shut out the wid noise.

I ADORE the matrix sound track!!!!! I got a cd - "furious Angels" by Rob Dougan who did the clubbed to death remix on the matrix soundtrack. If you like Matrix, you will like Rob Dougan too!!!!
The shrek soundtrack is another one I really love!
The Crystal Method's "Legion of Boom" is great loud stuff too if you like that sort of electronica type motivation
I have a Paul Van Dyk (a DJ) set that inspires me.
I love running to this song that sings about being alive! Really motivates me!
Otherwise... I typically keep the tunes off when I am swimming (HA!) and cycling (since I always ride with groups and I want to chat!)!
Ok, now I feel all old and outdated. IF I had an MP3 (I have a little tape player) I'd have
The Guess Who-Wheatfield Soul
Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon
Black Sabbath-Paranoid
Metallica-Master of Puppets
Cake
Offspring
Billie Holiday
Crystal Method
Heart
Lords of Acid
Toadies
Led Zeppelin
Blood, Sweat and Tears
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Pulp Fiction Soundtrack
Romeo and Juliet Soundtrack
Sugarloaf
Beatles
And stuff like that.
My first broken collarbone was to Anthrax, off the Attack of the Killer B's
and most recently I get my music from my cute and loveable 2 year old JB, who'll sit in a trailer without complaint for up to 5 hours, spending a lot of it singing songs he makes up himself and has named such inventive things as the Momma Song, Dadda Song, Baby Song etc.I'm so lucky!
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
