I am the light turn off freak in my house. I follow DH around, turning off lights. We will probably only have one or two on at 8pm, if it is a normal evening.

Let's see, it's 8:18 pm and two lights are on....but perhaps tomorrow will be a good excuse for a little bread, wine and cheese by candlelight.

Here in South Carolina, USA with no lights from 8 pm to 9 pm, EDT.

We have enough candles lit right now that we may not actually be doing our part to stem global warming.

The up side is that you cannot see how dirty our house is right now!

Hey, I can use those cute 'wind up' flashlights!

actually... that 50 miles of wind-tervals (18-20 mph winds) have pretty much pooped me. I just might go to sleep

It's been well-advertised here in BC. All government buildings are turning off their lights for the hour as well.

We were not home, so every light but the light under the microwave was off. We always come in the garage (automatic light), so we don't even leave on a porch light. Of course we were driving the gas guzzling truck, but baby steps. DH will commute by bike and turn off lights at my parents house but he won't give up the behemoth Dodge truck.

I have all kinds of lights on in my apartment, the heat is on, and I'm running my washing machine, and both of us are on our computers.

We went out to dinner with the neighbors and came home right before 8 pm, walked down to the end of the block to look at the local great horned owls (saw one), then sat on their porch by candlelight drinking sweet wine and listening to music. Nice.
