Shameless plug: this is a blog that fits that description, and happens to be mine. Rachel's Bike
welp, mine's mostly commuting, tho' I don't have rules But then, you can prob'ly tell that already from my bicycles! I'm all flattered my pic's on your blog several of the ones I linked to in my post are transporational, too (like "you just don't want to" which I think you'll identify with ) ... mine's (I forgot I didn't mention it@) http://bicyclecu.blogspot.com

    My blog

Mine is new - and just lets me organize my frazzled brain and share photos with friends - I like to take my small camera when riding. It also documents my racing team - Team ECD (Ergotech Cycling Dynamics) I have a website link soon - we are waiting for our new kits from Hincapie Sports - come on George sew faster!!!!! It also has a personal side to it with updates on my huge new office building project. I can't wait to read some of the ones mentioned above. I always like the smaller personal ones.

    some great blogs here!

This is a great thread! I've now bookmarked many of these blogs - I especially love the Copenhagen cycling one. For those of you who have your own blogs - I'd love to start a practice of posting comments on each other's blogs. It's great for our SEO and it's fun to get to know other women cyclists who blog.

Another shameless plug... But mine is quite different than any others listed. It's about Cycling in Europe, and my self-guided cycling service. I welcome any comments (or even guest posts - contact me) if you've ever ridden in Europe (or want to), including suggestions for new places I haven't ridden.

This is a fairly new blog, so I haven't covered much territory in Europe yet (as far as posting about them). Upcoming posts will include discussions on climbing Alpe d'Huez, Mont Ventoux and other cols and on the joys of picnicking while riding in Europe (my favorite thing!).

Also, I'll be changing it to a self-hosted site so the name will change when I do that (read: find the time to do that)! Too many limitations on Wordpress.

Geonz - YES!!! Many thanks - I was way too tired when I posted last night. Glad you liked it - the pictures from the Atlanta track racing came out great - that track is so steep and it was mighty scary to ride on it!!!

While playing around on some of the aforementioned blogs, I've discovered a few others that will make you chuckle:

This guy has a knack for describing the economy using cycling metaphors:
"Inflation? It's gotta take off like Petacchi on a full inhaler of Salbutamol, right? How could it not?"

And this guy has a funny post on cyclists with moustaches.

Most of my riding nowadays consists of pulling DD on trailer or riding alongside the kids, so I find this blog pretty interesting.

I don't think hanging a moses basket off the handlebars of the bike is such a great idea, though.

The one I read most consistently is Ed Wagner's, over by Tulsa, OK, "CycleDog" (http://cycledog.blogspot.com). A good mix of stuff... teaching, social issues, transportation cycling, the "joys" of raising young 'uns...

BikeSnob NYC is pretty good, and I enjoy reading about Fatty's various misadventures with his mountain bike as well as his and Susan's heroism in the face of a really bad deal.
