Here's a short article about the ACTC Academy, put on by the Almaden Cycle Touring Club in San Jose. Both snapdragen and I are graduates of it, and have been instructors for this course.

You guys have such a cool club! I'd probably join it. Our local club seems to think only brevet riders are "real" cyclists. Needless to say they aren't winning the popularity contest and they're an aging group. Kind of hard to ride brevets, have a full time job, and a family.
Gosh, I'm jealous!

I thought we had our own club.No dues, no meetings, just riding and eating.

Very true! I do like the Billy Goat points. Maybe we'll have a vote at the next meeting. It's amazing what people agree to over beer, though we'll have to wake-up the team captain if she's gotten to the beer first.Originally Posted by Veronica

Nice article Jobob - and nice pixs! I wish we had something like that here in Albuquerque - maybe (once again ) I just need to move over to Your neck of the woods!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
