Guess that means we'll be getting bib numbers here soon too!
    YIPES!!
    I'm not reaaddddddyyyyyyyyy.........

Funny, I was reading through some of last years taper threads. I don't think I need to taper this year.... To have the need for a taper would mean that I would have actually had TRAINED....

It's really funny when customers come in and I tell them I'm racing. I guess it must be obvious my lack of training...
Or maybe it's my alarming amount of "adipose tissue" that I seem to be carrying around lately.... sigh...

Denise you're as tough as nails!! You might not have had an ideal year but you're still going to kick it!! You might not fit into the narrow ideal of what an Ironman triathlete looks like, but never forget that you are one. You've proven it before and you'll do it again. As far as I'm concerned you're one of the toughest I know and I know a lot of triathletes!!

    Denise,
You can do this! Watch your video from 2006 again...it is awesome and awe-inspiring.

You know so much on race day is mental. You have mental strength. After living thru last year, you know what to expect and can prepare your mind to deal with it.

You are ready; you have done all the 'benchmarks': 100+ ride; 15 mile run; long swim. Now just keep your mental state in check. Trust me, I am working on this too!

    Confidence!

When is race day? I have to make sure to send lots of butterflies that day - not that you need them, but they are a nice reminder of what you can do, aren't they? And right now a few of those butterflies are headed there to remind you of your inner strength. You are an iron woman!!

    Hugs and butterflies,

    The butterflies are within you.

    Denise,
Have you picked out what to race in yet? I am nervous cause I ordered a bunch of stuff and none of it has shown up yet!

I am getting a long-sleeve light weight jersey; did that last year and it worked awesome. Protected me from the sunburn. Wore 2XU womens' long tri shorts last year and loved them, and now they don't make them! AAH!
So I orded a pair of men's smalls and hopefully they are longer. Also ordered a pair of the women's comp since trisports could not tell me the inseam length.

Hate not getting to go there in person to try on!

Show us what you picked out!

    HA!
I haven't found ANYTHING yet!! I need to go see my friend down at Tri Gear. He's the tri soft goods guy in the area. We work together, so he takes care of me. But I really haven't found anything I like. I was going to carry the skirt sports line, and they have a COOL jersey. But I just can't pay retail for it.
I may just wear my AV jersey on the bike and a simple top on the run.
    Sigh... I dunno????
At least at Tri gear I can try it on. I have fit issues ya know! ha ha ha

Side note... Yesterday I had a rep come in. She's out of the Tucson area, and she had read all about the shop on TE.
