    Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers. DH's uncle was moved out of ICU to a regular room yesterday - hoping that's good news. No update on his aunt. His parents did seem cheered by our visit, I know his dad really enjoyed the concert we took them to. Everything else is stable - in it for the long term. There's only so much we can do - trying to get DH to take care of himself is high on the list right now. I'll keep you updated.

    Yeah, this is huge. And, you take care of yourself, too. You can't help but be absorbing some of his stress. (or, maybe you can! )

    Update

    Good news, first: sister is off prednisone and her kidneys appear to be functioning.

    Not good news on the uncle. The only thing I know to pray there is "God's will be done," and comfort for the family. It really seems we're beyond the point where any earthly outcome will be happy.
