LOL...I am the youngest, and the only girl. But, I got called John, Dan, and Mike many, many times in my poor parents' attempts to call me by my name!

Later in his life, my Dad took to calling me the name of his own sister, despite zero dementia on his part.

Now, my oldest brother constantly calls me the names of his two girls!

    unusual names

Boy I thought I was going out on a limb when I named our daughter Elisabeth Kathryn. We thought she'd have Beth as nick name but it is "bug".

My first Girl choice was a Dutch name of Krina (kreena) but if misprounced she could be called Krina Vagina.....

My uncles are twins and my grand mother was on something. She rhymed both first and middle names Merrill Glenn and Carroll Lynn.
Merrill had 2 sons 11 months apart and named them Kendall and Randall.
Carroll had a daughter and named her Carol Lynn. She goes by Lynn.

Here are some more family names I have neices named Raylene and Shalene (not sisters). A neice named Jamie (after Jamie Lee Curtis) and my son is James (named for my dad). A sister named Barbara Ann (like the beach boys song).
A neice named Jessica and a nephew named JESY (James Edward Shane with a y).

    Huh.
    Try the name "Regina".
Pronounced "Ra-geena" - very unlike "vagina" and very unlike the pronunciation of the capital city of the Canadian province Saskatchewan (which does rhyme with vagina)!

My dad's name is Winston....and yes, he's smoked all his life. Winston brand, of course.

I used to work for an OB/GYN. The most memorable name I can remember is......................Placenta. Yup. The mother was an immigrant from Mexico...spoke very broken English. When the doc was trying to explain a placental abruption, she missed the part about possibly hemorrhaging, and locked onto the beautiful name Placenta. We tried very very hard over the next couple of months, to discourage her from naming the baby Placenta, to no avail. Poor kid...She was an absolutely gorgeous baby with an absolutely hideous name.

    Yep, that's ours.

Scout - my wife liked the name from To Kill a Mockingbird
    Hardin - my grandfathers name
    Levi - her grandfathers name
    Howard - self explanatory

I was googling for his birth announcement and this site came up, so I registered to reply. If you don't like it, well thats just tough and I'll gladly PM you about it.

(Of course his brother's names are Slade Jaxen and Zane Michael)
