I'm grateful I didn't go to Vegas with my friend. Last night I went to dinner at a neighbor's house and one of their mares foaled. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen (albeit a little disturbing - can you tell I haven't had a child yet?). And then, less than an hour after birth, there he was up and walking trying to find where to get milk. Incredible.

I'm grateful for gore-tex -- keeps me dry and decently warm during these rainy rides.
I'm also grateful for my beautiful magnolia trees---they are just starting to bloom!!
I'm grateful for the beautiful flowers in Duke Gardens.
And the lovely blue sky here today.
And the beautiful, comfortable matching Brooks saddles on our new (to us) tandem.
And for the Keen cycling sandals - comfy so far
Yay for spring!!
Most days in life don't stand out, But life's about those days that will...
I'm grateful for finally feeling well again.

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I'm grateful for my friend D (calling her my boss just seems weird), who stocks the freezer with Annie's frozen entrees so I don't have to carry my lunch when I commute. She also washes the clothes I leave there. She makes it much easier for me to ride.
I am BOYOBOY! thankful that our local ballet company has a jazzy new ball of fire for a director, and that we got to go see the Director's Choice performance last night. Thank you!! For livening up the dance scene and bringing exciting new works to the company. Yeeha. Good stuff.
"My predominant feeling is one of gratitude. I have loved and been loved;I have been given much and I have given something in return...Above all, I have been a sentient being, a thinking animal, on this beautiful planet, and that in itself has been an enormous privilege and an adventure." O. Sacks
I'm grateful for Wahine. Because of her amazing virtual PT abilities (and some of my determination) I astounded my friend when she saw me today.

I am thankful for a beautiful spring day with the sun shining and a few amazing flakes of snow in the air and the daffodils and tulips bringing cheering shades of yellow and pink to my garden....even though I have this stupid report to write.
If it's not one thing it's another
I'm grateful I haven't snapped at the woman who is obsesessed with me. From her behaviour it appears she has a crush on me, but she expresses it in very negative ways.
I'm grateful I can remember what it was like to be living in denial of my orientation, and can scrape up some pity for her and her actions. (but lawrd, it's tough to stay calm)

I'm grateful to the car drivers who didn't flatten me when I had a little tip-over today in a very bad spot. And I'm grateful that neither self nor bike got more than scuffed.

I'm grateful for the pierogis I made yesterday, but boy, I feel tired today. There are carbs, and there are CARBS, and they're definitely the latter type.
I'm glad Oakleaf wasn't smushed by that car.
I am greatful that my 3-day long cramp fest is over, as well as my spliting 2-day long migrane. It was a rough weekend.
