Up 3 pounds . . . time for a new kick-a** plan! Will be curious to see if it works next go-around.

HOLDING at 172.4. Actually, that MAY be down slightly, but it's close to the same! OK, especially since I finished off those darned girl scout cookies, AND ate an entire pint of Mango Gelato last night. What was I thinking? I know... MMMM, MMM, GOOD!
This is a new week, and I have NEW motivation!

KJAY: What is your "kick A$*@ Plan"? Enlighten us!

LOL Jes . . . I'm still formulating it so am reluctant to share a half-baked plan, but so far it involves a one- or two-day watermelon fast, planning in advance what I will eat on a daily basis instead of recording at the end of the day what I ate; my exercise plan is still in the works but will probably include a plan to bike/spin at least one hour daily or 2 hours every other day, plus two days of weight lifting, plus my standard one-day-a-week 8-hour day working with 15 camels (my passion). Okay, now I'm out of breath.

By asking about my plan, you've REALLY motivated me now. Thanks!

Working with camels????? What do you do? That can be very challenging! I've only spent time around llamas. Even they can be challenging. Now 5x bigger would worry me! Too much spit!

You are good to get the weight lifting in. I have signed up for an oly tri, and am consumed with the time it is taking to run, bike and swim. I barely make one swim a week, and don't know when I will get in the lifting -- I miss it, and I'm sure it will help with all. Now if only I could fit it in. Maybe instead of cooking or cleaning!!!!

Well, I have recovered from the stomach bug, finally have my appetite back so my weight is almost back up to my starting point. I am at 148. This weekend DH and I have a hut trip planned, lots of backcountry skiing so I should get a few good "workouts" in.

Jes, I groom all 15 of them every Spring and even throughout the year, plus feed them lots of treats and clean their pens (ie, rake and shovel [my favorite form of weight-lifting]). This is all on a volunteer basis. Only the Bactrians spit, but they know me so well that they only cuddle with me, but do occasionally spit at the other Bactrians when food is around; the Dromedaries are more prone to biting than spitting. :-)

    Are you a veterinarian?

Jes, I just viewed your profile and see that you are, indeed, a veterinarian. If I could relive my early years, I'd definitely train to be a camel vet.

Hey, yeah, I'm a vet. But only little creatures (and some big dogs). Used to do a few cows, but not anymore! I always liked the camelids, though. Nice volunteer work!

OK.. back to the weight loss!!!!

    2 magnolia cupcakes!

Luckily I did remember to weigh in yesterday. I just forgot to post. I was down 1/2 pound from last week 117.4.

Good thing the weigh in wasn't today DH and I went out for dinner and then out for cupcakes! Oh well, back on track today.

    Thank you for the motivation!

    weight loss

well for week 2, it is not as big as last week. Put me down for 153.5. Only .5 pounds this week. I'm good with that considering what I've been eating and drinking.

TNGIRL - some of my most successful weight drops were the day after the occasional big meal. Think of it as revving your engine.

I was shocked to find that I weighed 170 this morning, down from 175 last week. Something about tonsillitis, liquid diet . . . I'm feeling a lot better now, but not eating like a pig like I was before I got sick. I'm eating like . . . I'm losing weight. I'm going to try to stay in the habit. No more pizza between classes. That will be hard.

If I get down to 165, I'll be down to my mid-season weight of last year. I was 165 for about a week. lol...story of my life. My body likes 170. That's all changing, though.

Maybe I should get on the no-prize list. What day do you all post your weights by?

I think my scale is broken. I just weighed in at 130 with clothes on. Did it 3 time to make sure. I ate like a pig the last two days and just got done eating lunch and sampling my jerky that is in the smoker. I am sure this won't last for long, but I hope so cuz 129 is my goal.

I won't be weighing in next week. Don't kick me out of the group ok? I'll be back on Easter Sunday. Probably up at least a lb though...
