    weight

When I had my tonsils out at Christmas I dropped 10 pounds in a week. I don't recommend that method though. Since then I've been writing down everything I eat. I lost another 7 pounds that way so far. Sometimes the effort it takes to figure out how many calories it is, stops me from eating it in the first place.

I totally get the not motivated part. This is the first time in my life I'm consciously trying to lose weight.

Weight is down to 140.2 as of this morning.

The loss continues to be very slow - but consistent - so I can't complain.

That is how it is supposed to be, right?

Starfish - don't give up. Sometimes just keeping this 'goal' in your mind (even if it's not at the front) is enough to keep the weight creep from happening. I know exactly how you feel, though...and all my pants ARE too tight!

Weight today: 165.6...Up 0.6 from 2 weeks ago. Considering that the previous weight was a guess and considering what I ate and how much I sat on my butt last week, I'm actually kind of pleased with this. It could have been SO much worse. I've been eating much better this past week since we've been in OR, but I'm still eating 100% of my meals either out, or they are prepared meals eaten at home off paper plates. I finally got the kitchen 85% unpacked last night, so with a weekend run to the grocery store, things should improve this week! Plus, once I get this place put together, I'll have some time to workout, too.

HOLDING at 172.4. Actually, that MAY be down slightly, but it's close to the same! OK, especially since I finished off those darned girl scout cookies, AND ate an entire pint of Mango Gelato last night. What was I thinking? I know... MMMM, MMM, GOOD!
This is a new week, and I have NEW motivation!

I agree. However, I'm also feeling stubborn and I'm not going to give up trying.

Just like I thought, I'm the same this week as last week. 148.4.

Good job to everyone else who is doing well and/or losing.

    118.5 this morning. I haven't exercised in 10 days so I'm glad I didn't gain.
