Loss aversion thereapy works pretty well. How about for the next challenge, everyone agrees that if they don't lose a certain amount of weight or body fat, they donate x amount to charity?
I used to belong to a coaching club where this was called a "leverage". We used to be required to use them in certain situations and it really, really worked for most people. A great way to do it was to agree to donate the money to a charity that you don't support. Then, if you don't make your goals (and all goals had to be reasonable, of course) there was NO benefit to you. If you agreed with the charity, you might be likely to think "oh well, at least so and so gets a benefit from my screw up". Opposing political campaigns were popular choices as incentives.

Anyway, I'm checking in here to say that I've been pretty bad this week while travelling. I ate a lot of the wrong stuff and I basically sat on my fat butt for 8 - 10 hours each day. Ick. Since we've been in Portland (Friday afternoon), I've been better. We rode yesterday (15 - 20 miles or so) and I'm definitely making better food choices. No more driving, either! I don't have a scale, so my weigh-in will have to wait until next week. The problem is...I also won't have internet after today until next Saturday, so I'll be a day late. Oh the joys of moving...

It sounds like everyone is doing well, and I hope all you sickies are recovering quickly! See you next week!!
