The Ibex Balance has no seam, which is nice. They'd probably fit someone with skinnier or shorter legs better than they fit me. (Smartwools boxers creep MUCH worse on me than the Ibex Balance)
My 3 pair of Ibex Roasters are still my all-time favorites. They don't creep on me at all.

I just got a beautiful new wool full-zip bike jersey from the Ibex outlet page, the La Luna for $69.00. The color is aqua with grey trim, very pretty and it also comes in a green. Most of my jerseys are hi-viz green/yellow for road riding. I thought this would be a nice option for when hubby and I ride rail-trails. I really like the way it fits. No elastic in the arms. The info says it has elastic in the hem, but if it does it is very relaxed and does not seem to bunch up at all like some if my jerseys. Now I just need warmer weather to get here so I can get out and ride.

Help me, I just spent the entire day hearing about neck problems and stuff (seminar) so my brain is full and somewhat non-functioning. Why is it ironic that Riv is selling Ibex? One of their mottos is "wool, steel, and leather," and we saw a few folks wearing Ibex when we went to Riv last year. And they have said several times they'd like to get more stuff in made in the USA.
I'm a little slow right now... help me!![]()

And well they SHOULD sell more stuff made in the US....or at least made in places where human and animals rights are concerns.
I thought it was ironic because Riv had been selling wool and merino apparel that I (and not just me) felt was ill-fitting, unattractive, and most importantly, made in China.
Now they are selling Ibex arm warmers. I think it's amusing (or should I say "a-MUSA-ing"?)But it's certainly an improvement as a step in the right direction.

Wow! Wabi warns of 3 inches of shrinkage! Methinks they should be shrinking the fabric before sewing it.

Picked up an Ibex Pingo to replace a ~9 year old Cirque Jacket. Still LOVE the Cirque for the softness/noncrunchiness/warmth factor, but the Pingo has some distinct benefits. First- I can't believe someone actually made a jacket that fits my body ie short torso, LONNNNNGGG arms (yes, I'm a monkey, my reach is 2.5 inches taller than my height). The Pingo is a little stiffer/crunchier, but better water and wind repellency than the Cirque. Looks fantastic- very simple, sleek, well-cut. Even wore it out to a fancy dinner to meet the S.O's parents!
Ahhhhhhh.
Tricky- what color Pingo did you get?![]()

Howdy.......After buying loads of wool this winter, I find I've got more than I can really make use of. (I know, a shocking thought). I thought I'd offer one piece here, in case anyone is interested, before posting it on the For Sale/Wanted thread. It's the Ibex Loppet Jersey, beige, with black accents. (Tiny photo below. Couldn't find a bigger image.) Nice weight, not heavy---good midweight piece. Shapely, but not at all tight. Has a little bit of a retro style. Size Small. Paid @$75. Worn twice, I think. Happy to send it off to a good home for $35, plus shipping. PayPal only. No returns. Feel free to ask questions here or by PM..........Thanks!

I wore my brown Pingo on a walk this past weekend and I love it. I like it so much more than the Cirque jacket because it is a little bit shorter and just a better fit all around.
It does a great job of blocking the wind, yet it is warm with overheating. It's my favorite piece next to the Shak now. It is so nice and dressy. I wore it to work as a jacket one day too.
