just wanted to pipe in and say that I have this jacket and love it. I have the high-viz version and depending on layering, I've worn it comfortably from 10 degrees to about 35 or so (you could probably go colder -- I just haven't. brrrr!). does a great job sealing out the wind and insulating without bulk. I also really like the silicone gripper at the hem.

& the reverse coil zipper is very slick.

I have this jacket too, but I haven't worn it this winter. The jacket is gorgeous and warm. The reason I haven't worn it is that it has a fairly "close to the body" fit and I've been layering for warmth, since I'm riding in the early morning hours.

OK, I'm going to revise my review of this jacket. Kathi's F/S ad motivated me to pull it out of one of my "surplus" gear storage boxes, and I wore it this morning.

My jacket is probably one size up for me, and when I got it, I recall the jacket fitting more snugly in the hips. I suspect that I'm more on the low side of my preferred weight than my usual winter weight, which is about 5-7lbs more than I carry in the summer. Anyway, the jacket is excellent and was plenty roomy for my usual layering. That said, it still was a closer to the body fit than my Gore jacket. This morning, it was a humid 34 degrees and the Sugoi jacket kept me plenty warm. No wind to speak of but I recall the softshell being very good at windblocking.

BTW, the sleeves on this baby are a bit longer than usual, which is great for making sure your hands stay warmer on cold days (no concern for the gap between gloves and the jacket). While the back pocket is a tad small, there's a smaller pocket w/a zipper on the front, in which I could stow my cell phone & house key with room to spare.

I'm glad that I rediscovered this beauty of a jacket. It will get plenty of wear and I won't pack it in storage so I'll remember that I love it when the cold weather returns next fall.

I think whoever gets Kathi's jacket will be pleased.

Ha, ha, VB, you're making ME rethink getting rid of the darned thing, LOL!! Just kidding. It IS a beautiful jacket, which is why I hesitated so long about putting it up for sale. But I have an embarassing number of jackets for someone who is still pretty new to cycling. And I'm starting to do more rides on open country roads around here, where screaming yellow is the ticket to giving fast-movin' pick-ups time to react to this slow-movin' two-wheeler.
