If I were single again, I'm pretty sure I'd consider a condo over a house. I'm pretty handy with small projects around the house, but there's some stuff we've had to do on the homes we've owned that I wouldn't know how to begin to tackle on my own.

When I was single, I bought a townhouse. It was wonderful to have the security of home ownership, without the hassles. On a saturday morning, I'd ride my bike past a friend's house and holler and wave while he was out mowing the lawn!!

Tulip, congratulations! I am the *other* TE'er who lives in Richmond. I currently live in a Townhome that I do not own. I'm planning to do something about home ownership myself, sometime in the not too distant future.
