Cool links MDHS - thanks! I'm going to try that when I'm finally ready to speed up.
I went for my last swim for the next 2-3 weeks. Tomorrow I get laser eye surgery and won't be allowed to swim for 2 weeks, and then I'll be away for a week so may not get in the pool again until the end of the month.
Anyhoo - I am happy to say I swam 1000m without stopping today. I think I've finally 'got it". I'm sure my technique needs work etc but I am feeling much more comfortable and confident in the water now. I did 400m warm up then the 1000m in about 25 minutes, which is pretty steadily 2.5 min per 100m. I'm good with that for now. It means I could theoretically do the 750m tri in under 20 minutes. Theoretically...Maybe I can learn to swim faster now??
1600m altogether today.

Maybe I can learn to swim faster now??
