Speaking of, I have a pile of half-written articles that need to be cleaned up and posted to that site. I should get on that...

Hey if you ladies join beginnertriathlete, be sure to add me as a friend!

And although I'm not doing the Danksin, my tri (Kelowna Apple Triathlon-Sprint) is the same day!!! Whoo hooo!!

And as a cautious aside, I was just looking at the sprint age group results from last year (albeit a rainy day and wet course) and I was excited to see that top woman in my age group had achievable times. Now I really have something to strive for - not winning my age group of course, but at least have a decent time. Yeah baby!!!

    Training Group?

    Hello Everyone -
I just read through all the messages and laughed out loud at how everyone was chopping at the bit to register for the Danskin and checking the site everyday, as I was doing the EXACT same thing. I got into the Danskin and just like all of you, I am very excited to compete in my first tri !!!

I am trying to locate some other women that want to train together for the tri. There are many training groups you could join for a large chunk of cash but I was just hoping to find some people and train that way. I work in downtown Seattle and live north of Seattle in Lake Forest Park.

    Anyone interested.

    I am definitely interested

I work down near the airport and live up in North Seattle. Swimming is my largest demon but I can always use work and motivation on cycling (uh, any riding would be better than what I do now which is hide from the cold weather!). I've been running a lot lately but do need to start doing bricks at some point.

    Dex, nice wetsuit graphic btw

I'm much farther north (Mount Vernon area), but would love to be included. Especially for any OW swims. Keep me on the list and even though my schedule is strange, I'll do my best to jump in. I have a couple friends in the area that are signed up, so maybe I can drag them along also.

    Thanks!

    Danskin Training Group

    Hey There -
For those of you interested in starting a training group for the Danskin Seattle Tri, I started a new thread specifically for that. I thought that may be a bit cleaner of a start.

    It is located http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showt...696#post294696

Bump. So are you gals excited or are you having registration remorse?

BTW - I'm trying to think of a time when I might be able to convince some of you to come down here for a training weekend.

I'm too busy having anxiety attacks over how I'm going to make my tiny squalid 30-years-worth-of-dirt-and-neglect apartment look clean, new, and expansive by the end of March.

Oh, and trying to lower my cholesterol in 5 weeks.

And gathering up my stuff for taxes.

    Danskin? What? AAAAAAAGH!!!!!

I AM really excited. I am not having registration remorse (only wetsuit appearance remorse, but I wouldn't let that alone stop me). And I would love it if you hosted a training weekend--that would be a blast! My only schedule constraints are:

Memorial Day weekend, when we will be going to Sasquatch
June 24-July 7--a long rock hunting trip in eastern Oregon

Good heavens, don't you know that everyone else is just so grateful and relieved that they don't have to do the same...that no one is going to give a mere 30 years of dirt a second glance? (Seriously)

I've spent more time sick than not since the registration. And time spent not sick has been spent stressing about work-related stuff. Maybe after this week I'll have enough time to think about it to experience registration regret. Heh.

Oh, and thanks for reminding me to clean. The LDSoO (Long Distance Something or Other) will be swooping into town late this week...it would probably be in my best interest to make sure my apartment isn't a pit of doom.
