New saddle I love

Sorry I should have included them. They are 140 x 272 mm, which translates to about 10.7 x 5.6. Thats the box measurements, but I just took a tape measure and the butt is closer to 6 inches with the slight curve. I don't know why that is but the box is marked correctly. It weighs 210 grams for those counting.

Knot - I have a 155 width on my road bike and love it. It's the exact same seat without the cutout. I find that the edge leading into most cutouts feels a bit sharp on my bit area so mine just has a groove and a more gradual transition. When I went to that seat last year, my riding changed. (along with getting the 0 setback seatpost for my short femurs). I got mine at Performance on sale. If you remember, I also went with tri shorts pretty much exclusively at the same time. Even more comfy for me then since I get more airflow even without the cutout. When I jumped on my bike for the first time this year (last weekend), there was no learning curve for my sit bones or bits this time. The "wings" of the saddle give a bit for comfort but are stiff enough for support. Hope this helps.

At least I have Brooks, which I really do love. I agree on the tri shorts vs heavy chamois. I'm finding now that my Brooks is really broken in and formed to my anatomy that I am most comfy in wool boxers under unlined shorts or pants. (or tri shorts or old-fashioned thin chamois)

I have it and love it too. Wasn't sure which I should use for 24 Hours of Sebring -- the Aspide or my cushier Specializeds. I had the Specialized's on standby, but did the whole 330 miles on the Aspide, without a single saddle sore!

Don't feel bad Knot- my sit bones are just as wide as yours.
The Brooks are the ONLY saddles so far that have a back width wide enough for us. The others don't even come close. I might have tried a Selle Anatomica, but I checked out the back width of their very widest offering, and my sit bones would have been riding right on the hard edges of the saddle. No thanks.
I wear my hips proudly!
(they're also good for knocking people out of the way in crowded situations)

I've got a specialized Jett coming in today, but I will probably try this one next if (when?) the Jett doesn't work out.

I got mine at www.triVillage.com. It's actually down the street from me but Roy the owner is great about mail order. He's got good stuff, the kind of stuff people use. Good Luck. I also looked at the Jett but a friend of mine who manages a Specialized bike shop said alot of them come back. Hope it works.
