    N.Virginia sucks!

I am not from here and I want to get away from here!
Bunch of hicks that can't drive, inconsiderate, go out of there way to run you off the road (that has no shoulder) P.S. If you are from this area and you ride you are not the hick I am speaking of obviously, you know exactly what I mean about these drivers. On top of the terrible drivers. The weather is not friendly this time of year. February is the worst. I want to get out and ride when it is nice but then you still have chance of getting killed.
Last fall, coming up a hill-almost at top, someone wanted to pass me, I put my hand out with a firm stop- which was tough going up hill as is, shoke my head "NO", I put myself into the lane a bit to discourage him--there was a car coming in the other direction that I could see but he could not. He proceeded to try going around me when suddenly he realizes that there was a car coming over on other side of road....EVERY particle of my senses were amplified in my ears, gravel under his tires as he put on his brakes to the actual force inches away from my back tire. I had this happen again a few weeks ago when it was a nice clear day, bundled up and tried to face my fears again. Same thing but not as close call as last... idots.

There was a flock of cedar waxwings in the trees today, and a bunch of robins. The maple trees are looking like they want to bloom, and they hydrangeas have cautiously exposed a new leaf or two. The crocus are blooming and the tulips are 4" out of the ground.

It's still 35 and rainy and too friggin cold for me, but nature says that spring is on the way.

Pretty darn hot here today. We are in the middle of a heat wave. It got up to 39!!!!! It's been a long time since we've seen the 30s, or the road for that matter.

I'm sick of the weather too. Here in Michigan its been crummy, last night it was 9 degrees(F) - today was nice - mid 30's, but we're suppose to get a big snow storm tomorrow night.

As long as CA gets pounded by those rains, we can expect the erratic weather patterns to continue.

+1, only being west of you, we expect the snow to start during the day.

For our enjoyment, today we have sunshine, high of 59, and winds of 30 mph. Then thunderstorms. Then tomorrow snow showers. Then more wind.

Today is rain changing to snow with 20-30mph winds, and it's a balmy 33 degrees right now.

Hey, don't forget that for "dessert" we get the cross-training experience of snow shovelling tomorrow

I hear you all on cabin fever! On Sunday Hubby and I had it with the snow and the closed windows! All our snow melted the night before and we grabbed our bikes and packed them up!

We went out the the Falling Water Trails and road 24 miles in 35* temp! We had on gloves, hats, helmets and two pairs of socks!

We should have worn 3, but dang was it refreshing.

I, too am sick of this weather, oh, it just snowed 3-4 inches with possible 2 more tonight.
