    Going to the bike fair!

Yep, I am going to the fair tomorrow to drool over all those new&flashy toys.

There's an expression in german: an egg-laying wool milk pig.
That's what I want. A bike that does it all: a comfortable, superlight bike that fits perfectly and that I can use for at least tris and road rides - i.e. would like aero bars - i guess the extension to everyday bike / crosser can't be met but....

    Eierlegende Wollmilchsau!

    Try to pronounce that !!

    Ideas for the perfect Frank-n-Bike:

I was thinking a frame like the Surly crosscheck (fits everything up to fat tires and fenders) - and then aerobars and the flippable seatpost from cannondale (could keep my Look Ergostem-that slides up to 6 cm). Plus Cannondale's silk road suspension fork. Plus maybe an adjustable-angle headset.

Would look horrid. And get heavy.

so don't believe anything I am saying, I won't waste that kind of money.

So this was a "new" event, not too many exhibitors but most of the popular brands were there.

What struck me was that none of them had a trainer where you might try the bikes. Not one.

The one guy (Roy Hinnen - former Pro with his own line of bikes) who advised me best allows test rides.

    Imma try this one:

This is an aluminum frame, Mavic Ksyrium wheels, and Ultegra SL groupset. Plus aerobars
The cool thing is these nokon cable housings he uses, that allow to hide away the shifter cables.

Though there are nuances that don't lend themselves to phonetic spelling.
