    Death ride is fun!!!

    HONEST!!

It is really beautiful up Ebetts. be sure to take warm and wet weather gear just in case. I've ridden that ride in sleet/ice and other years I've melted from the heat and cooked crisp in the thin alpine air.

Still its one really beautiful ride and well supported.

    gnat - it's a great ride.

we coach a team in training group for death ride. we train in marin, sonoma and napa. I would be happy to suggest some good training rides for you.

did you enter the lottery, then? good luck!

If you signed up for the DR lottery & your name doesn't get drawn, there's always the Mt. Shasta Super Century in early August - 135 miles and 16500 ft of climbing. whee.

Plus you get to ride with Starfish & me.

More importantly, you get to eat carbs with us before and after...and I'm guessing the after will include a glass of wine!

After that you could do Bike Against the Odds right here from Oakland. The Century has 10,000 ft of climbing. Wheeeeeeeee Most of the descending is in the last few miles. It's like a climb all day then fly straight down.
