I got to try out my new spinervals aerobase IV DVD today. It was a beautiful sunny day and we saw a few hardy roadies out today but DH and I aren't quite ready to battle the ice and gravel in the bike lanes quite yet.

16 1/2 hours, but that's still 2 hours better than my PR.

    Thumbs up Congrats Brandy!!!!

I was just looking at the Butterfield results, and saw that Brandy posted the second-fastest woman's time, and came in 16th overall!

What do you do the day after that?
How long does it take you to recover?

Sorry, I'll make it up to you somehow.

Like maybe buying you a tasty beverage at a coffee shop along the Mad March Hare route after shamelessly drafting off your wheel - unless you decide to dump us for the 400K ...

THANK YOU jobob!!!! I'm trying to blog my report right now, but two days later some details are getting fuzzy. Funny, I can't remember (AT ALL) a portion that I ride all the time because it's so close to home.

Oh, and if you look at the results, Planet Ultra does their placing by times. If two or three people come in at the same time they get the same placing. Sounds fair to me since it means that Isabelle and I got 8th place overall!!!

Have to add...I was thrilled to come in with Isabelle Drake. I rode with her for a short time earlier in the day and she is STRONG! She is doing Furnace Creek 508 solo this year, did PBP last year. Basically she's amazing. Anyway, my history with Isabelle is that on Butterfield last year, she beat my time by 11 minutes. It was my first double and I ended up coming in 2nd behind her and the woman she came in with. Her name has stuck with me since then. I met her on Breathless Agony last year and saw her on 508 this year when I was crewing. I caught her very close to the finish and I thought it was appropriate for us to ride in together. I enjoyed having the company and we chatted about our similar situations...both of us dating guys who we'll never catch on the road!

Wow! fantastic results and two hours better than your time last year too! I see you're dipping your pedals into racing soon. Good luck!

Thanks Veronica! Yes, I'm going to try the racing thing out and see if it suits me. We'll see.
