Howdy. I'm new to this forum, and am just getting back into cycling after about a 15-year layoff.

Here are my two kitties, who keep things interesting around here. The big one is Hobie the B@st@rd (3 1/2 years old) and the little tabby is Erin-Aquanetta (6 months old).

    RIP Remy

This morning my boy Remy took his last trip to the vet. I got him from a shelter when he was 1 1/2, and he's been by my side for 13 years. He spent 8 years bringing joy to nursing home residents, and was a tolerant and patient brother to Bailey, who I fear will not deal well with being an only dog. I hope Remy forgives me for what I did today, and is pain-free and happy now.

Oh, divingbiker... I'm so sorry for your loss. It's terrible to make that choice, but I can tell from your post that you did right by Remy. Not only does he forgive you, but he is grateful. Hang in there...

R.I.P. dear Remy. You did the right thing, and he was so lucky to have such a happy loving home for so many years.

Big hugs, divingbiker! You absolutely did the right thing and he's a happy boy running across the Rainbow Bridge right now.

Divingbiker: Everyone is right... you should not feel guilt. It is a gift to relieve suffering. I'm so sorry for your loss... that is a long time to have a companion and then lose him. I hope you and your Bailey are doing okay.

Lisa: Your kitties are beautiful! I had to laugh, though. My kitty wouldn't have even noticed that cream, but ohhh... those great strawberries. Every one of them would have been individually picked out of the bowl, and then very carefully batted to the floor. Only when the last one was off the table top would she have rested!

I'm so sorry. Please do not feel guilty about helping Remy not suffer pain any longer. He knows how much you loved him and always did the best for him.
My thoughts are with you. Give Bailey a lot of extra hugs.

    Carol
