I just got one of these from TE. It's not the most attractive thing in the world and it isn't truly hi-viz, but it is bright yellow and it has pockets, and it's cheap. Bellwether Venus jersey

I am glad to see PI has brought the hi-viz stuff back for '08, though. They took them out of the product line for the last couple of years.

Thanks, all. Looks like it might be hard to find a truly hi viz jersey.

I have hi viz jacket and vest. I'm looking for a truly hi viz training jersey, with pockets and good fit.

I want it for all those times when I really don't want to be wearing my jacket or vest due to temperature or exertion...but when I REALLY feel like I want to be visible. Mountain climbs. Our roads with logging trucks, etc. It is very hard now for me to find training rides that have good shoulders and/or low traffic.

As a driver, I know that there is a big difference for me in seeing regular yellow, and screaming hi-viz yellow...especially when I have a lot competing for my attention.

    Thanks everyone.

I bought a nice high vis jersey from LL Bean for hubby. It drapes nicely and has a relaxed cut, not the pro or club fit. It comes in long and short sleeve. And the price is nice too.

I have a short sleeve jersey. The only downside to this jersey is it has one large pocket in the back--not 3.

Thanks...LL Bean isn't really on my radar for bike clothes. I would not have thought to look.

I was surprised to find it at LL Bean. Of all the jerseys, the LL Bean jersey is hubby's favorite. Our LBS is considering stocking this jersey because the fabric is very similar to the Trek line of jerseys, yet is much easier on the pocketbook. It really wicks well and the cut is just right for shaplier cyclists.

Oh, and since we started wearing high vis when we cycle, motorists have been much more accomodating. The high vis is truly high vis and hubby said he could see me at least 3 miles up the road.

Yeah when I wear my Brooks NightLife screaming yellow stuff, I get motorists all the time telling me happily out of their windows that they could see me from a mile away. It's a win/win situation for both cars and cyclists.

I know...but what about the way the hi-viz clashes with the beet-red of my face when I finally roll into the rest-stops, cafes, etc?

(I wish there was a hi-viz color that was also pretty to wear...)

    Question HiVis Jersey Women

Can anyone tell me how true to size the LL Bean Women's jersey runs? They show an XL as 18-20 on the size chart, which is what I'm wearing these days. The price looks good, and I like the idea of the relaxed fit. I'm just leery as stuff doesn't always fit the way they say it will.
