Shhh!!! What Mr. doesn't realize is that this conversation was about the current year's bike, the '08. Not the prior year's bike.

LBS guy did have the correct bike, the one which I was lusting over, that he sold to Mr. last october 30.

And i don't really want or need to upgrade at the moment, but the yellow one was the current one that is my favorite one in the shop. And the Sram realy intrigues me. However, if i had the money and had to choose, I think that I would get the Madone 6.5. It's color scheme is similar to the one that I have and is my favorite. If money was no object, of course, I'd get the 6.9 pro. I don't know why I don't ever really consider the project one as an option.

But i can be very happy on the 07 madone that I have. I am thinking about a few little upgrades though. maybe some more ceramic bearings......

With 6,000 miles on it, I will have to be thinking about a few replacements too. Due to user error, I've dropped the chain a few times and scratched up the chainrings a good bit. I'mthinking that any thing that I replace, I'll replace with eight Ultegra SL or Dura Ace.

Don't worry! I said..."thinking about" not buying.....besides, some of that I referred to will be like scheduled maintenance on a car. My bike does need to be in tip top condition.
