How often does this sell out early? I told DH about it last year and how I wanted to see Kentucky (never been). We didn't think his nursery would let him free to make the road trip but they might! The Horsey is our 5 year wedding anniversary, I think riding is the way to spend it.

Aggie, if you've never been to Kentucky, this is definitely the part of the state you want to see

Mile upon mile of rolling hills and horse farms. There's a history and charm that goes back generations there...

Marcie, might it have more demand this year since they have new routes?

    Mr. Silver,

I have no idea what awaits us this year for I'm not all the familiar with the roads in and around the Lexington/Georgetown area. Just remember you will be in Kentucky and there aren't many flat section. I think it is fair to assume there will be some small hills, medium hills and big hills on the century.

Hey gang, I just made a reservation for two nights at the Comfort Suites in Georgetown. I checked the Hampton first--given Silver's recollection that that's where they stayed last year--but they didn't have any rooms left with two beds. I don't know for sure who, if anybody, will be coming with me, but I wanted to get a room with two beds just in case. The Comfort Inn's rooms were also a lot cheaper--at least with my federal government discount. I think my double room was $70 a night compared to $145 at the Hampton Inn. There's also a fridge and microwave in the room, which may prove helpful given my "grazing" needs.

Anyway, the suite actually will sleep 6 because of the sofabed so on the off chance that a TEer or a friend of a friend needs a place to stay, I may be able to help out. It's so early to know how the weekend is going to shape up after all.

Anyway, there are several hotels that are very close to one another so even if we aren't staying at the same place, it will be easy enough to hook up.

Let me know if you have any questions!
