    February 3 rides; saturday

    To disable ads, please log-in.

26 miles. While i was prepping my wall to paint, DH called me; "want to meet me downtown at 11:30?"
"(sigh) I'm getting ready to paint."
"well the sun's out! It will be fun"
    "we'll see"

And I went. 38 degrees with dark clouds in the south.
rode downtown, hands too cold most of the way; struggling with my little Ibex hat, it barely covers my ears. and my ears were cold too.
Met Raleighdon downtown; and then we rode to West Seattle. These are industrial roads, and on Saturday they are very empty. We took the low bridge to West Seattle, and then we rode to Alki point, where we saw a few brave walkers, runners, skaters and a bike or two. We had lunch there and then rode home, another 10 miles or so.
It started to rain when we got out of the restaurant, but it wasn't too bad.
    (It made me speed up!!)
the photo is Raleighdon just emerging from the West Seattle bridge.

26 miles, almost all flat (except returning to our home hill)

    February 3... Sunday?

So, its Sunday here, and Feb 3rd, and I just got in from my ride.
Its a mild 26'C, and overcast so a nice day for riding.

I decided to try out my new Louis Garneux aero helmet... and instead of doing an easy ride after my race yesterday, I did a 10km rolling hills time trial in the midst of a moderate intensity ride
Put this girl on a fast bike wearing a fast hat and I'm afraid I don't want to "take it easy".

So I got in just on 34kms, and did the 10km circuit in 23:50 (my PB was 24:45 at the start of Jan sans aero helmet).
i walked inside still buzzing and told my partner I did not want to take my fancy new hat off cause I was ssssizzzling...

Mimi, I would love to ride in Seattle. The one time I did visit the States I could not make my travel funds stretch to Seattle

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

oh, geez, i'm sorry. I'm losing it. It seemed like Yesterday
when my DH told me his father's birthday was tomorrow. But that must have been this morning.
I've done this before... please forgive me. eeek.

    sigh...

Thats cool Mimi... I've done it before too!

I really think that this sentence belongs on a magnet, or bumper sticker or something...

It seemed like Yesterday when my DH told me his father's birthday was tomorrow. But that must have been this morning.

Love it... that sums up Monday-itis for me... (although Monday for me is only 1/2 a day away!)
