That Mollie jacket is very nifty, it tempted me also. From what I know of wool Boucle and Ibex's felted wool, I'd expect the Mollie to be just slightly warmer than the Carrie, if anything. (I have a wool Boucle vest, and one of the old-style felted Ibex Switchbacks.)

A medium Carrie Hoody might fit you, if you are usually a 10. Why not get the last medium (in charcoal) as well as a vest?

    temptation is *good*!

    I

    ORDERED.

The Mollie Jacket in Crab Apple in a Large
the Bella Vest in Oatmeal Heather in a Large
the Carrie Hoody in Charcoal Heather/Black in a Medium. (it says it is relaxed fit, so it might just work.

Since the shipping is FREE, I can try it all and see what I like and send back what I don't want. I'm taking lessons from Lisa. But, still no Shak. There's always next year, OR they may go on sale later. These were great prices, so I took advantage of them.

The Mollie jacket is definitely heavier than the Carrie hoody. I thought the Mollie fit was kind of weird though. It ran kind of small. I like the Bregenz much better.

The Large carrie hoody fits me beautifully over one or two shaks. I'm 5'5" 148 lbs.
I might fit into a carrie hoody medium but I wouldn't be able to wear much under it. Then too I am small busted. (hey there's that song again!)

KNot-I think the Carrie is just a bit warmer weight fabric than the shaks. But both are wonderful. My carrie hoody goes wonderfully over a shak. I've been wearing my emerald green Carrie a lot lately.

Dianyla- my half zip black shak has the thin nylon-y zipper as you describe. My (also new) black full zip shak has a slightly heavier metal zipper. I wouldn't call it sharp or toothy though- more like a "regular" zipper. definitely bigger than the 1/2 zip's though.

I may end up sending everything back and getting a Shak, which is what I probably should have done in the first place. I just can't resist a good sale.

The zippers on my full zip shaks are made of metal, but nothing obejectionable, that is there is plenty of fabric under them so they don't bother my skin and seem very high quality. Not sure what the ones you are comparing them to are like. The thistle heather is a very nice color, a purply gray. It goes very nice with many colors, grays, blacks, purples, greens, pinks.

Checking again - I'd compare my fullzip Shak's zipper to the zipper on a pair of denim jeans. Is that what yours is like?

I guess I was hoping it'd be more like the Skyline's zipper.
