Yeah, I weigh myself at the gym too, which works out to about twice a week. If there weren't scales at the gym, I wouldn't have a clue what I weighed, but it's nice to have that check there to keep me honest. Once I get back under 60kg/132lbs (being back to regular work hours should make that relatively easy - there's no snacking on rubbish when you've only got what you brought in with you... ), I doubt I'll bother at all.

Gargghh... note to self, NEVER race Diva up a hill, cause I'll be carrying an extra 30-40kgs (at Jan 1st I weighed 99kgs)

I weigh pretty much daily, in the morning.
I spent my teens and early 20's yo-yo'ing between around 110 to my high of 175 even though I was very physically active mostly biking - too many burgers and beer I guess. Finally in 95-96 I changed the way I ate and have kept my weight between 125 and 135 since - two 50-pound gain pregnancies aside.

I lost all 50 pounds in 6 weeks with my first. Just lots of nursing...I was eating tons and not exercising because of some pretty severe tears. But I'd run all through that pregnancy so I was in pretty good shape overall. With my second I started WW at 6wpp as I still had 30 pounds to loose, 6w before I needed to return to work and two pairs of pants that fit - one with a hole in the butt.

Anyway, even though its been over 10 years at a healthy weight I still get a little paranoid about gaining. Weighing myself helps me remain mentally in check.

I'm 5'10... that said, I want to get down to 85kg, I reckon that will be light enough before beginning to compromise power/weight.
Even then, I'll still be hauling 15kg more than you up a hill - but I bet I'd catch up REAL fast on the down-side

Oh... and I'm real glad to see you are off eating cake (avatar words) - but at 5:45am???

Is there ever a bad time for cake?

    Of course there isn't!

And, yep, you've got seven inches on me RR.
