Ah, the naming....the current thought is Galanas which is the Welsh equivalent of Weregild which is the old English for Blood Money....the price that is demanded of a person guilty of homicide. Why? Eons ago I had a good job. A happy job. But, the company was purchased by a large multi-national firm. They killed my job, but I stayed there for the 2 years it took to vest my stock options. I then took that money and used it to increase my quality of life--the Waterford is one of those things. Hence, blood money, but Galanas sounds so much nicer.
