    Ibex Knee Warmers

I just wanted to update my report on the Ibex Knee Warmers. While I did have problems with them not staying put on my ride in yesterday, I simply placed them higher up on my leg for the ride home and they were fine. It was not a cold day, but windy and the windbreaking front really did its job. Again, for the weather I wore them in I was glad that I didn't overheat. There is one neg. review of them at the ibex site (probably why they are on sale!) but I disagree. I think the fit is great, but you do need to experiment with positioning, as the wool isn't quite as forgiving as lycra if they aren't positioned properly to begin with. I was having trouble to find leg warmers that aren't too long, so I realized with the addition of high cut socks they can easily double as leg warmers.

The only problem is your limbs may be a bit too slim for them, since the smallest they come in is unisex small (garment measurements are posted here on TE by susan in the apparel section). I rode with them for the first time today. The arm warmers stayed up fine and are quite long, but the leg ones did creep down, although they never slipped out from under the band on my shorts, so I am going to play around with placing them higher to begin with. Great at temp. regulation. It was a warmer morning, but they kept me warm without letting me overheat. A great product!

    I have a Shak!
    Finally!!!

It is a Thistle pullover. I *love* this color! Purple-y grey! With bits of blue! (Grey/gray is one of my favorite colors, as is purple, as is blue. And this Shak is such a rich grey!)

I am ecstatic over the sleeve length. Sleeves that are actually LONG enough! Got on the bike, and they are long enough to cover my wrists when I ride.

And raglan shoulders just make it fit all the better.

Nice heavy shirt, sturdy dense fabric. I'm wearing it over my dark grey Norgie crew with my gray-blue Woolrich wool vest. (yes, it should be "Norge", but Ibex was having fun with the word) Tried it over my new silver/pink/magenta Twizler, and they match beautifully.

Did I mention that I love the sleeve length? The torso is long enough, too. Hot diggity!

My order from STP came last night. Everything fits! The Icebreaker half zip really fits well, but it feels a little itchy to me. Well, I will be wearing it with something underneath. The 2 Icebreaker superfine short sleeved T shirts also felt a little rougher than the soft merino I am used to in sweaters. But I am now washing them, as the label said they would soften up with washing. They fit so well, I look forward to wearing them in the summer!
I also got 2 fleece v neck tops that fit perfectly. The sleeves on all of these items in x-small are a pretty good length, considering I usually wear petite sizes in regular clothes.
I am going to test out one or two of these pieces when I ride my Jamis today. Now I feel like a real commuter.

I got my new green wool bra last night. I am wearing it today; but probably won't do anything really athletic. Maybe tomorrow I will ride a little. It's very comfortable. When I first put it on my reaction was eyeeew! it's tight. But then it stopped being tight.

I also got my matching to Lisa and Trisk's ribby. It's kind of thin (not as warm as i'd hoped) but Raleighdon loves it and it IS comfy.

I slept in my new Shak. I'm gonna wear it today, too. Maybe with my Ibex Echo T underneath.

Such a nice heavy shirt! Wheeee! (and the SLEEVES! I am in love with the SLEEVES because they are LONG!!!!!!! )

I got a Large. I have now something like 17 pieces of Ibex, and all are women's Large *except* for my El Fito cycling capris which are medium.

I've found Ibex's sizing to be very consistent.

Now, if I wanted to have a jacket that would fit over a couple layers or over a thick sweater, I'd get an Extra Large. I am sorely tempted by Lisa's method of the "twin set" of a pullover Shak and a matching color zip-front Shak in one size larger.

You and Sandra BOTH need matching shak sweater sets. I can't emphasize enough how wonderfully versatile it is to have them like that.

You know you are addicted when you wear wool both night and day.

Mimi....a green wool bra....now how cool is that? Oh, baby....
