A cold, but reasonably decent morning morphed into ugly freezing rain by noon here. I bit it on some glare ice. Nursing a bruised elbow, bike is fine, knocked one of the hoods askew a bit (easy to fix), but no scratches/other damage and thankfully fell on the non-drivetrain side.
Should have known better than to ride home. Almost fell about five times walking a few hundred yards from the lecture hall to my bike.
My dear bf said, "I'm glad your bike is ok and that you didn't damage any of your expensive biking clothes.". Well, I can't get too mad 'cause I'm glad too.
oh sorry girls, am I allowed on a midwest weather thread?. Sorry, I didn't realize, no harm intended.
liza - totally welcomed. I didn't originally post in the midwest section. I thought many folks would enjoy our lovely weather.![]()
