155 for me and I echo the remarks made already - this is slow. I know for me personally, it is because I have eaten out too much. Even though I pick the very best thing on the menu, there is still the mystery of how it is prepared. I have to get past this plateau of 155. I have been stuck here forever. On the BMI scale, I am in the healthy range and I look pretty good, I am just not completely happy with where I am at. I have been down to 146 which was too skinny, and so I'd just like to make it to 149-150. It is so frustrating to be so close and not be able to get there.

I checked out Jillian's plan (The Biggest Loser) and according to my "body size" which is pear, I need to eat less protein. Apparently is metabolizes slower. I currently eat lots of protein. I am going to swap things around this week and see what happens. Break out the veggies.

    No more eating out, either!

    121.8 Whooptie-do.

I have been working out about an hour a day on average, burning at least 2000 calories a week and eating about 1500-1600 calories a day. I STILL have to lower my caloric intake I guess. I usually only lose weight if it's down around 1200 but I figured with all the extra exercise I needed to fuel a bit more. I'm eating 55-60% carb, 25-25% fat, 20-25% protein.

    No change for me.

But, a lightbulb moment at the doctor this morning. She asked if I was having any problems, and of course, I mentioned that I can't seem to lose weight. She looked at me, looked at my chart, looked at me again and said, "Did you ever stop to think that this is the weight you're supposed to be? Why would you want to weigh any less?" I didn't have a good answer for her.
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

    139.4 today, that's + .4 pounds.

i'm not too concerned, i agree it's gonna be a sloooooooooooooooooow process. i'll let it run its course, being diligent, then if i'm still where i'm at now i'll just accept it and buy clothes a size bigger.

jeez, i'm 52, when do we get to quit obsessing about our weight?

    . . . . not for quite a long time I'm afraid.

My grandmother lived to be 94 and until she passed-away, she diligently watched her weight. Although, I will say (wow, I just spelled 'say' as 'seigh'--that's weird) it always came across as a health concern as opposed to vanity. She was a believer in whole foods.

Exact same as last week for me: 161.1

But, to be fair, I did start weight training again this week for the first time in over a year, so I'm sure I'm retaining a truck-load of water. I'm certainly sore enough!

I'll try to get an updated chart posted this weekend!

Holding at 117.0, and I agree, it is a very slow process! But keep at it everyone.

I don't want to quit the challenge, but I'm not dropping any weight. Been eating pretty well, but I guess not good enough. I lost one pound, but have gained it back. grrrr... I'm frustrated all around. How about losing weight via getting a body part chopped off? I don't really need two butt cheeks, right?

1/25 Slow is right. Week 3 and I'm down 1 lb again to 160.0 At least I'm headed in the right direction Work has been really stressful this week. I picked a bad week to try to quit drinking diet coke. Maybe next week

If you can find a one but cheek saddle, I would agree!

I have been up and down and all over the place. Definitely no real loss.
Count me as offically up 0.5!!!!!!!!
Did anyone see that Terry has a web conf this Thursday on cycling and weight loss. I think I know what I SHOULD be doing...but it wouldn't hurt to listen and learn more or reinforce what I already know!

    Hi everyone,

I got busy and missed the start of this challenge part II. During part one I lost 9 pounds, and then there was Christmas, and then a cold, and then my birthday, and then a stomach flu.

I have not lost any weight in about a month...and have gotten back to my bad habits. It is time for another push.

In November I was an all time high of 170.
    Now I am 161.

I want to spend this summer riding at 140, and I would like to get this blasted weight off before the long, hard rides start in late spring when all our gravel and stuff is off the roads.

Really, my sole motivation is to be lighter for climbing.
