I don't know if you get "Antiques Road Show" on tv up there, but there was one episode where a guy brought in an afghan that he kept on the back of his sofa.
It turns out that it was a special Navaho Blanket worth $350,000 to $500,000. The owner was shocked when the appraiser said something like "Sir, you have a national treasure here". Read about it under "First Phase":
I think of all the 'junk' that my parents threw out over the years that actually is worthwhile or valuable. Who would have ever thought that a Pez could be valuable?? Or the $20 Swatch that Silver and I bought in college?




It has been a highly durable watch. It hasn't broken down until now..after 10 years.
