Didn't you see the first post where she said that she was in a house with 5 computers! The last thing she needs is a sixth one (in addition to the two I maintain at home #2!)

Take that Mac vs. IBM propaganda elsewhere please

I'm home! Drying holes cut everywhere; stains abound! Noisy Fans! This ceiling is 50 continuous feet in length...will be interesting to see how the insurance company tries to settle up on cost 'cause, I'm not going to be satisfied with a patch job

    Silver & Mr. Silver.....{{{{{{{{HUG}}}}}}}}

I have no idea what you are going through - I have had bad days that I thought I could not get through - and I have done stupid stuff that resulted in damage - but not to this extent. I feel for you and wish I could make you feel better! Please keep us posted & know I am thinking about you both and hoping that everything works out for the very best.

    No worries

Thanks, but no worries and hugs necessary.

Like I said, at least it's not a wreck with five broken ribs, a wrist and a collapsed lung! It's just stuff

This is simply one more inconvience in life

Absolutely! I second that! Fewer steps in doing any tasks.

Silver, are you back on track yet?

Back on track? I don't know if I was ever on it in the first place!

Anyway, things seem to be under control. We are hoping for weather that is possibly good enough to enjoy a short ride outside today and tomorrow.

Teaching my spin classes is keeping me sane. I've taught 5 this week.

And, when the restoration contractor was here, I needed a philips head screwdriver to remove the access to the jacuzzi, so I got out my blue Park bicycle tool. And the contractor was a mountain biker. Ohhhhh, bike talk! I got to show off my Madone!

So, searching for bike computer stuff -- mine's working funky suddenly -- I found this thread.

SilverFamily, how did all this turn out? Ceiling repaired to satisfaction? Space bar every fixed? (could have been cookie crumbs.... I always start with turning keyboards upside down and giving them a good shake. Amazing what comes out sometimes!)

Oh, thinkgs are much better. The water damage was all fixed to the tune of $5,000 plus. But all fixed, thank you!

somehow I had knocked the space bar off, i don't remember how now, but it works now, thank you again.

It's been a somewhat miserable time since then, but we keep plodding through and we have hope that things will get better.

I do have my first tri of the year coming up on April 27th. It will be my first "longer than a sprint" tri and my first Ocean (technically a Gulf) swim. Distances are 1500 meters swim, 40k bike, 10k run.

I'm not prepared at all for it, but am going ahead just to get the experience.

It's the Pensacola Beach Triathlon. I think there are a few TE'ers in the area?

Thanks for asking for the update! you gals (and guys) are the coolest!!!!!
