I actually was going to call a police officer friend and find out if this would be legal in my state...

No dice - leaves the paintball shooter open to charges of vandalism or assault
He suggested a jersey that reads on the back "Warning - PAINTBALL GUN ON BOARD"
It's all asking for trouble - isn't it
Yep, it's all asking for trouble. No matter how mad we are, cars are big and bikes are little. And the law usually smiles upon the motorists, not the cyclists. I'm dreaming of a day when all the roads are completely free of cars and I can ride anywhere I want - but this would take a super-virus that ate out all their electrical wiring or something!! Well, I can dream, can't I?![]()
It's very important to remember that the cars that try to make hood ornaments of us are (generally) driven by agressive and cranky men and we're women on light-weight bicycles. Some jerk in an SUV practically takes my left arm off and I find myself yelling invective as he speeds away. Irritates the hell out of me but I try to remind myself that I'm a 100lb woman on a 18lb bike and I'm just never going to win that argument. First order of business: keep yourself safe.
I had the same thing happen - some idiot jumped into the oncoming lane of traffic to scare me. He did. Where are the cops?
In AZ, they have a great law about killing/hurting cyclists. If you kill us, it costs you $1,000. If you just hurt us, the fine goes down to $500.
I'm sure that hunting some animals out-of-season costs more than $1,000.![]()

Dunno if this thought bubble helps, think long term goals. These aggressive, cranky, and generally sedentary men (and some women) can just sit and drive to work, where they sit some more, then sit and drive home where they sit in front of the tube and suffer all the long term health effects of that lifestyle.
In other words give 'em a few years and they'll be dead anyway.
Meanwhile if we keep can just ourselves safe out there gals (and our honorary TE guys) we'll outlive 'em, and have more fun doing it. Personally I think they are jealous that we're having fun while they're stuck in cars and or that we have nicer legs than their wives.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
Don't forget, we're sexier, too. It's not called Team Estrogen for nothing, you know!![]()
Give big space to the festive dog that make sport in the roadway. Avoid entanglement with your wheel spoke.

That's why these drivers are mad? they are heading home and think "dang, my wife doesn't have legs like THAT"
where's the jersey that says "how's my riding? call 1-800-hang-up-n-drive" or 800-GET-A-BIKE or....
ok, I just brought the bike home from its pre-ride check up. Chris replaced both tires, guess I trained enough to wear them out. He was out of the 26's so I've got 23's now. The bike feels lighter. I'm told she will have less rolling resistance. Gonna do a little test ride tonight .... and tomorrow to see how this feels.
