Yeah, I know the name isn't all that great. It was intended for dairy farmers to use on their cows' udders when they got chapped and raw (worse and worse, I know). However, the dairy farmers and large animal vets found the stuff was great on their hands. It seems to be pure lanolin so very little goes a long way. I use it when I'm going to be in the saddle all day and it's hot - that combo is deadly for me. And there is much less a "sqoosh" factor than with other chamois creams.

So far so good with the Bag Balm, but I have been carefully applying, not slathering it on. Any first hand Bag Balm users out there? bikerHen
