I like the orange color. When I was shopping for an Element, I wanted the chilli orange color but settled for Galapagos Green.

Hubby has a cool Axiom rack and fenders he may play with. I can't wait and he's so excited!

    You and Kalidurga, Zen.
Withm...that is a way nice bike! Congrats on the (second) new ride!
(and darn, I think it'd be a tad too small for me....I ride a 54!)

Sundail...You have an Element? A friend of mine has been looking at those. How do you like it?
edit: Oops..are you talking HONDA Element....or Novara Element? My friend is looking at the REI bike.....

OK maybe I'll let you touch it if you can't ride it. LOL.

Warmer weather will come again someday. I used to say my limit was 50o, sunny, and no wind and that I had to have 2 of the 3 conditions to even consider playing outside. Now it seems to have dropped to about 34o but it has to be sunny, and wind condition has been relaxed to under 20kt or so. But if it's that cold I'll only stay out for an hour or so.

OK, you can touch it too some day.

What can I say - I'd been planing to buy the hybid "someday" for the last two years. The Portland was more of a wish than a planned purchase, but I had been looking at that for over a year - just found printouts of the Trek website dated Dec 2006 so I was drooling over it back then. The thing is I got a bonus this year and happened to be in the bike shop for something else shortly after and started looking at bikes and figured what the heck, lets test ride some hybrids. Turns out I bought the one I had print outs for as well. Then one thing led to another.... Now if it would just warm up a little so I can go play with my new toys.

Withm, we brought the Portland home last night! Hubby was up late playing with the bike and transferring stuff from the old one.

Do you have a kickstand? If so, what kind? We tried putting an extendable one on it and it wasn't going to work.

    Hey SunnyD!

Nice going on the Portland...which has a very lovely name..

We have an Element too...DH wanted a black one...then a grey one but got a good price on silver which we now like very much!! Look Ma, no dirt!!!

Seems lots of artists with dogs like Elements...He was driving it a few days ago and said a pack of elementary schoolers crossing the street yelled out to him,,"Hey, I LOVE your car, I LOVE your car, I Love you!!"

    hehe
