Nala the dog (Aussie shepherd-esque) keeps wishing for a sheep to herd. She's currently trying to herd the new cat, or at least get close enough to get a good sniff. All she really needs to do is to lie there and flick her feathery tail, kitty wouldn't be able to resist. Meanwhile the grass and weeds will continue to grow.

Headache is better, hot shower and coffee this morning. Also drank a big glass of water.

CC - hope the knee is better. And your evap cooler keeps you cool! 44C (111F) is just too blasted hot. Seems like when I lived in the central valley of Calif, my evap ("swamp") cooler didn't do very well when it got over 115F (46C), or rather it cooled things down to 100F (38C). But it's a dry heat Yeah, right.

CC - DH just had 50 cc of fluid drained from his knee two weeks ago. After that happened, we found out that he actually has a form of arthritis. Your swelling should go down - just give it time.

Beth - you need to hire a landscaper, or take the other suggestion - goat/sheep! Stop trying to pull over that lawn mower with your shoulder.

Funny story. Yesterday was supposed to be my first PT appt. 15 mins before leaving, my phone rang and it was the PT telling me not to come - she has conjunctivitis. I thanked her for letting me know, and we rescheduled for later this week .

    perspective...

    Hey Girls-
Just got a call from an advertising rep that was supposed to come see me today.
His 28 yr old daughter was in an awful car accident this am. She went through the windshield, and apparently they are going to have to remove one of her lungs.
Apparently she is a competitive swimmer, so she is facing not being able to swim again.
    Very sad.
Makes my achy hip and grumpy hamstring seem trivial.

Wow ^ that's not cool at all Hopefully she turns out OK.

I injured myself on purpose with an epic new tattoo on my right leg- it goes from just above the knee to the top of my hipbone I'll be out for a couple of days while it heals up.

Wow! Thank you all for posting! You humour and candid comments are great! I think I'm glad this thread did not exist when I was sick last year - I would have hated to have ovewhined and brought the party down!

I'm sending loads of happy butterflies to you all for all of your injuries to heal well and for you to do all the right things (i.e. not to much, and be patient), while the healing is happening.

And extra butterflies for the poor girl in the accident. It sound horrific!

    Hugs and butterflies,
    ~T~
    The butterflies are within you.
